Oldridge Accounting’s Vision Explained
Does your business have a clear vision? This is something that I want my potential clients to understand and my current clients to experience. It
Born and raised in Windsor and Essex County, Shawn began his accounting career directly out of high school in 1998 with a national accounting firm. Shawn received his Honours Bachelor of Accounting Degree from Brock University.
Before starting Oldridge Accounting, one of Shawn’s other responsibilities at other practices has been information technology. He has always had a passion to find solutions that can help his clients succeed. He is also a business advisor with WEtech Alliance’s Venture Success Team.
Although Shawn has taken his practice full time, his most recent experience working as the controller of AutoMAXX Pre-Owned Super Center where he was involved with the family business’ day-to-day operations has taught him a lot. This gave Shawn a unique perspective when helping his clients. Although he was at the dealership during the daytime, he always made time to answer client questions promptly. That was the beauty of working for family.
When Shawn is not helping clients, he is the treasurer of the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women & Families and was previously the treasurer of the Windsor-Essex Red Shoe Society. Shawn also coaches 5-Pin Youth bowling on Saturday mornings at Playdium Lanes.

“I started Oldridge Accounting to serve my clients in a different and more collaborative setting than a traditional accounting practice. By using cloud-based accounting applications, I have access to my clients’ data in real-time and I never have to bug them for the most updated version of their records. This allows me to see how healthy and profitable their businesses are and I can advise them accordingly throughout the year.”
