A Different Approach to Tax Preparation

Over the last few weeks, I have been preparing for tax season which includes thinking about my processes.  I love using cloud approaches for my practice but I had not put anything in place for personal taxes. One idea that came to mind was allowing for clients to share their tax information with me via online storage such as Google Drive. I was ready to go with this approach until I discovered Intuit Hub and Link while performing my tax software update.

Link will make the information gathering process easier as it will provide a secure connection for clients to answer questions and complete information requests. You can attach documents to the various requests which keeps everything organized. This information is then gathered and displayed in Hub, a central location for me to review and then prepare your tax return. I may still use Google Drive to deliver final tax returns to clients to provide a full cloud experience.
