Put on those Red Shoes!

One of the most rewarding things you can do, is to volunteer and help your community. I have been involved in the community volunteering for many years now, from being a banker for the Relay for Life events for the Canadian Cancer Society, to my many years as a tournament director with Western Ontario 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association and most recently as the Treasurer with the Windsor-Essex Red Shoe Society.

Being on the board of directors with the Red Shoe Society is a huge honor and has been very rewarding already. Being in our first year we have accomplished a lot already and look to host more events to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

Part of being on this board, like I said is organizing events. What better way to kick off the fall season than to host an Oktoberfest event? It’s an amazing way to get out into the community, help a great organization as well as enjoy a pint of beer with people in YQG!

You know the volunteer experience that I have done, now it’s your turn. I want to have a conversation on Facebook and hear about what you have done to help your community!
