One of the biggest traits that entrepreneurs have is that they are obsessed with their business. This makes a lot of sense because if you are not excited and think about your business most of the time, it is going to be tough to succeed. This is a great quote on passion from Dallas Mavericks’ owner and billionaire Mark Cuban “Don’t start a company unless it’s an obsession and something you love. If you have an exit strategy, it’s not an obsession.”

I think I can truly say that I am obsessed with my accounting practice that I have created. Especially, when I was told by my wife that I was obsessed with it. I guess I do talk quite a bit about the practice around the house and family. I have always loved the idea of becoming a partner in an accounting firm, but I think the route I have chosen will allow me to really to have the flexibility with my schedule in a year’s time. I really like the idea of being my own boss and having control over all the tools that I use to help serve my clients.
