Great weekend catching up with university friends and maintaining relationships!

This weekend my wife and I traveled from Windsor to Toronto to attend a surprise 40th birthday party for a good friend from my university days. I still can’t believe it has been over 20 years since the group of us first met at Brock University. The four of us were all on the same floor in residence, studied accounting and we started hanging out together. As the years went by in school, we tried to get the same classes so we could work together on various projects.

After we finished university, we tried our best to keep in touch. All four of us obtained our CPA designations. I tried to make it a point that whenever I was in Toronto for a course or other occasions, I would try to meet up somewhere with my friends. We even attended each other’s weddings. All of us now have children, which makes it a little harder with our busy schedules, but we have found ways to meet when we can.

The point of this blog is that some relationships can last a lifetime whether classmates, family, friends, suppliers or customers. We need to always maintain our relationships as this is what keeps our lives fulfilled.

Do you have relationships that have lasted like ours? Head to our Facebook Page and let’s have a conversation there.
